This is a 8 day safari which will make you explore the four main destination of Tanzania, the tour will make you adventure into the heart of the Tanzanian northern circuit, you will enjoy great numbers of animals, predators as well as carnivores like the African lions. Ngorogoro crater and Serengeti national park have the greatest number of lions in Tanzania. You will explore all these four destinations including Lake Manyara, Serengeti national park, Ngorogoro crater as well as Lake Ndutu.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Manyara National park

Your pick up will be from Arusha and straight away start your journey to Lake Manyara national park. We shall arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, immediately after your lunch, proceed for a game drive with in the park, the park is Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife area which consist of massive soda lake that is located at the foot hills of the Great Rift Valley. This national park also attracts lots of wildlife species like the elephants, tree climbing, flamingos and many more.

Day 2: From Lake Manyara to Serengeti plains

Have your breakfast and after head to Serengeti National park passing via the beautiful high lying farm land of Karatu as well as the Ngorogoro conservation Area. We shall then descend into the wild heart of Africa which is the mighty Serengeti national park, which has got endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as your eyes can see. On arrival, we shall head to the central park area which is known as the seronera area which has lots of wildlife habitats in the park, with the famous Seronera River that provides valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife species to the park. We shall have lunch and then enjoy an afternoon game drive within the park were we shall view many animal species including; the leopards, lions, Nile crocodiles, birds, as well as black Rhinoceros.

Day 3: Explore Serengeti plains

Be one of the lucky few to take a hot Air balloon over the Serengeti plains as you float silently above the bushes, spotting wildlife species and enjoying the scenery of African parks, water bodies as well as many local villages. You will as well do a game drive along the Sogore river circuit were you will view many animal species including the lions, gazelle, topis, cheetah and ostrich. There is also a visitor centre which is close to the Serengeti Seronera lodge and the public campsites which are worthwhile places for morning game drive. This centre offers so many interesting wildlife displays as well as gifts, information leaflets and maps of the area. You can as well get cold drinks and snacks as well as a picnic area and information trail up. We shall also have lunch at the same centre in shades of the acacia trees.

Later in the afternoon, we will follow the Kopjes circuit which is around the Maasai Kopjes that attracts lions and large cobras. These Kopjes are weathered granite crops and scattered around the plains with miniature ecosystems that provide drinking water and shade in the pools left within the rocks after the rains. These kopjes is good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons like the lions and many more.

Day 4: Explore more of Serengeti National Park

This day will give you an ideal opportunity to have an optional Hot Air Balloon flight which will be followed by a delightful breakfast. After this, head to the south eastern side of this park were you will visit the Barafu Kopjes as well as the Ngare Nanyuki River area, for both morning and afternoon game drives. You will find the lions here as well as the cheetahs, theis Ngare Nanyuki River area is known for bearing lots of game.

Day 5: From Serengeti plains to Lake Ndutu

This is the last day in Serengeti national park, we shall again visit the Kopjes on our way out of the park and also do a morning game drive in the samba kopjes area. These kopjes were named after the lions which use these kopjes for lying and bathing in the sun. You will as well get chance to view some baboons, giraffes as well as bird species.

We shall then head to Lake Ndutu which is also an alkaline lake, it’s used by wide array of wildlife species especially for drinking water. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the lake area were you will view variety of animal species.

Day 6: Lake Ndutu to Ngorogoro crater

We shall depart after enjoying breakfast and proceed for a morning game drive in Naabi Hill area before proceeding to Ngorogoro carter via Olduvai Gorge which is also known as “the cradle of Man Kind”. This Gorge lies on the site of the Ancient Lake which is covered by think layers of the volcanic ash that is carefully preserved by the world’s earliest records of mankind and was dedicated by Leakey family. This museum displays the discoveries and the remarkable finds. After, proceed to Ngorogoro crater, which is one of the densely crowded game areas in the world and is home to over 3000 wildlife species. We shall arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and spend the afternoon for your own leisure time.

Day 7: Explore Ngorogoro Crater

Have breakfast and after descend 600m in the crater which will give you a chance to view lots of wildlife for a full day tour. Have chance to witness the unforgettable spectacle of African wildlife, this area is supported with all round year of water supply as well as fodder. This park harbours lots of wildlife species including the zebras, buffalos, eland, warthogs, hippos, elephants, black Rhinos, herds of Wildebeest, hyenas, jackals, lions, cheetahs as well as the elusive leopards. We shall then return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy your afternoon at leisure.

 

Day 8: Ngorogoro crater to Arusha

Have your breakfast and after start your journey back to Arusha town, have your lunch at your arrival in the town. The guide will either drive you to catch your flight or drop you at your hotel.
