  2. Marangu Route:

    • Often referred to as the “Coca-Cola Route,” the Marangu Route is one of the most popular and straightforward ways to ascend Kilimanjaro.
    • Trekkers stay in huts instead of tents, providing a bit more comfort.
    • The path passes through both rainforest and moorland zones before reaching the barren landscapes closer to the summit.
    • The Marangu Route usually takes 5 to 6 days to complete.
  3. Lemosho Route:

    • The Lemosho Route is known for its stunning, remote wilderness experience and is considered one of the most scenic routes.
    • Trekkers enjoy panoramic views of the Shira Plateau and the Western Breach.
    • The extended duration of 7 to 8 days allows for excellent acclimatization.
    • This route offers a bit of everything, from lush rainforests to high alpine deserts.
  4. Rongai Route:

    • Starting from the north side of Kilimanjaro, the Rongai Route is less crowded and drier than some other routes.
    • This path offers a unique perspective of the mountain and often leads to a successful summit.
    • Wildlife enthusiasts may spot buffalo and monkeys along the way.
    • The Rongai Route typically takes 6 to 7 days to complete.
  5. Umbwe Route:

    • The Umbwe Route is one of the steepest and most challenging options, recommended only for experienced hikers.
    • Despite its difficulty, it provides outstanding views and solitude.
    • Trekkers traverse through lush forests before reaching the Baranco Wall.
    • This route typically takes 6 to 7 days to complete.
  6. Northern Circuit Route:

    • The Northern Circuit Route is the longest, offering the best acclimatization due to its extended itinerary.
    • It is less crowded and provides a more remote and wild experience.
    • Trekkers enjoy diverse landscapes, from rainforests to alpine deserts, and have the opportunity to see unique flora and fauna.
    • Typically, it takes 9 to 10 days to complete.
  7. Shira Route:
